A Challenge for Creators
« on: April 26, 2013, 04:15:41 PM »

I've never been able to master the creation tools in any game I've ever played, but am endlessly amazed at how well others do making things.  Since vehicles can be made in PE, I'd like to propose a little challenge for master creators: The Auburn Boattail Speedster. (see attachment)

It's a high-powered touring car made back in the day when cars had real personality and looked pretty damned sharp, too.  Google "Auburn Boattail" and you can find a boatload of images to help in creating it.

Succeed, and I'll reward you... with undying respect.

I find the hardest part about creating things is creating things with curves. So good luck with your challenge as that car is full of curves  :-\

It needs an inflate brush that adds layers over an area with a diameter and depth at centre. Then you just build out from a few spheres that are deleted later.

I decided to take up this challenge and its by far the most time consuming vehicle i've ever made. Its not perfect by any means but I think I did a pretty decent job. So enjoy your new Auburn Boattail Speedster  ;D
