Planet Explorers General Discussion / Weapon Scale?

Talking about vehicle weaponry.

I have determined that the weight and volume of vehicle weapons does scale with the size of the weapon.

What I have not determined is if the damage output of a given weapon scales with the size of the weapon.

The attack power measures in ### /s does not change with the scale of the weapon.
I might assume then that the damage of the weapon does not scale, but not certain of this.

Has any one else played around with differant vehicle weapons?

Planet Explorers Suggestions / Suggestion: Dismounting Ladders

This suggestion is for adding a new feature to ladders, the ability to dismount a ladder while in the middle of the ladder.
There are a couple of methodes for this.
  • Pressing the interact key (default E ) to dismount a ladder at the position you are at.
  • Pressing left or right pluss interact key to dismount the ladder to the left or right of it. This would be usefull for having a ladder span multiple floors and being able to dismount the ladder onto a platfomr next to the ladder at a given floor.

Planet Explorers Suggestions / Suggestion: Colony Storage Name and Filters

Would be nice if we could set names to each of the 3 storage containers in the colony to better identify them.

I would also like to see more storage container options for the colony with the ability to filter what types of items get deposited in the containers.
For example;
  • A medical cabinate or locker where only medical supplies are stored.
  • A food pantry or freezer where only food items and ingreadients are stored.
  • Other types of general storage lockers or chests with filter options where they can be set to stor anything or be set ot only accept certain items.
    • General Storage Chest
    • General Storage Drum
    • General Storage Wall Locker
    • General Storgae Cabinate

Perhaps a storage coponent for the creation system so players could design thier own types of storage containers for the colony.

The ability for the colony machines to pull resources from colony storage to complete tasks such as building items, repairing, or enhancing items.

Planet Explorers Suggestions / Multiplayer Player-to-Player Trading

This suggestion is mostly for survival mode.

A menu that can be brought up when click on another player with some typical multi-player options would be nice. Options such as:

Trade Window - A window that opens up allowing one player to trade an item or stack of items or multiple stack to another player.

A friend option allowing the player to add the player they clicked on to their friends list.

An option for a 2 friends or a group of friends to group together in survival mode and while in the group, to see each other on the map and see their stats in a list.

Ok started a new game and have reached the second camp.
did the mission to go find the guy (Chen Zhen) out by the crater and did most of his stuff to reach the point or returning to camp. When I get back to camp what I find is the view in the attached image.
A large wood block built in the camp that I did not build? This is a single player campaign?
The block pictured was not there when I left the camp.

Here is a suggestion I would find invaluable for better part placement. The ability to rotate a part while holding it, before you place it in world (release the mouse button). Often I have to pick something back up because ofter I put it down, I turn it to align where it is supposed to go only to discover that it is not lined up correctly with the wall or something else.

There is a mapping error in the game when multiple input devices or joysticks are plugged into the computer.
This can result in the game mapping character rotate to my throttle control causing the character to enter into a continuous spin that can not easily be halted making the game unplayable.
I could not edit the control mapping to fix the issue and had to quit out before really doing anything.

Joysticks: Saitek ST290 Pro, Saitek X52 Pro

I normally do not unplug my controllers when I am not using them. The joystick unit of my X52 broke and so I use the ST290 for joystick and the X52 for throttle control in flight simulator games.

Getting to the USB ports where my joystick and throttle are plugged in at is not an easy task and makes the game too difficult or impossible to play.
