Ahh wow I totally forgot the monster beacon things. The hard one spawned a few of them and finished up the quest, thanks for the help.

While doing the quest "Find the survivors" on the southmost island(Unfortunately I cannot upload a screenshot for some reason?) around 15446, 2784.

To be specific, during the fight with the two Caelum Rex I killed one then died with no Revival Shots. By the time I could get a new Aircraft together and fly back down there it was too late, the second Caelum Rex had flown off and I can't find it anymore. The quest functionally seems fine, however without a second Caelum Rex to kill I can't ever finish it and progress the story.

Is there some console command to spawn one, or some way to reset the quest? I tried quitting it to restart but it seems you can't do that with this one for some reason.

if you absolutely can not simply connect your other PC to the internet, swap the hard drives to install PE and then swap them back.

to be fair, this was sent in an email from "activation" with the subject "Hello player". I almost deleted the email because it looked so much like spam that somehow got into my inbox, it's a pretty fair question whether the download was legit or not.

wouldn't say the game is hard specifically, it's just use guns or die nonstop atm.

at first i thought it was an issue with the armor not being completely implemented yet, until i got later in and found bronze helmet/pants/etc. that filled slots that had been completely empty up to that point, although at that point there was no more copper to use to make it because i'd used it all on bullets, lol :/

hopefully they'll flesh out the scrips and such so that it's not so unfavorable to melee.

seems like you should probably be able to set up at least one for your primary base, otherwise you'll feel pressured to set it up at one of the pre-existing ones.

i would imagine that it would need some sort of power(a large tower with a few slowly blinking lights to serve as a landmark?) to run and it should probably be KOS by any wildlife in the game, hostile or otherwise.

dunno about too hard specifically. the shields and armor do not keep up with your opponents in story mode pretty much straight out of the gate though. getting 1-2 shot with the best defensive equipment you can get your hands on feels a bit silly.

atm it seems like ranged weapons ignore defense, or have their own defense stat that isn't implemented yet, so they feel like they are the best offensive and defensive option since you can never survive being in melee range anyway. basically it means i just have to go mine to make bullets to be able to kill anything relevant to the missions i have as soon as i can get my hands on a gun. i go through the bullets faster than i mine the ore to make them though, which is pretty frustrating.

i'd imagine it will be less of an issue once picks past iron are implemented and hopefully better options for mining eventually like vehicle mounted tunnel bores or drilling platforms or things of that nature.
