My Time At Portia Bugs / Re: Game Client Error
« on: March 07, 2018, 02:49:22 AM »
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB SSC GAMING ACX 2.0+ is my graphics card, haha. Doubt it can't handle Portia.

and to answer Omidawn, it is showing the desktop with the black box in the corner. And there is an icon on the taskbar but it just puts me "in" the black box.

haven't played in a couple weeks so I don't know if it's still happening.

My Time At Portia Bugs / Game Client Error
« on: February 19, 2018, 04:58:26 AM »
Been happening a lot recently but the game "crashes" but stays on. I get a little black rectangle in the top left corner of my screen where the game is active. I can hear myself swinging my pick, I will pass out when 3am comes around, etc, but I can't get the game to actually show up again. If I hit Esc, my cursor changes to the menu cursor and I can hear the button sounds if I hover over the middle of the screen.

Anyone else?

A lot of the bugs you posted I've been wanting to write down and post, as well. Thank you for contributing! Hope a mod/admin sees these!

Admin, plz delete this thread if that is true. Sorry.

My Time At Portia Suggestions / Tree Saps and other 100 stack items
« on: February 15, 2018, 04:13:09 PM »
With chests being as small as they are, why are some items 100 per stack and others 500? I have so much tree sap that would be easier to manage if it stacked like Stone. I'm waiting for it to become useful for something before I either sell it for pennies or abandon it out of frustration. Same with some of the other 100 per stack items.

My Time At Portia Bugs / Swinging axe/pickaxe bug?
« on: February 15, 2018, 04:26:15 AM »
Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything, so apologies if already addressed:

Sometimes when I'm in the mines or out hitting trees, it suddenly stops letting me swing my tool, even when I have stamina left. I can usually fix it by rolling but there was one time when I had to restart the game to address it. At that time, I could swing my sword but it was invisible both in my hand and on my back.

My Time At Portia Suggestions / Skill Point Reset
« on: February 15, 2018, 04:19:36 AM »
It would be cool if there was a special item you could craft or earn from a mission that would allow you to reset your skill points once. If craftable, it should be expensive (need like a bunch of gems or take a long time to create in a furnace, thus lots of fuel). I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I kinda wish I had put more emphasis on mining in the line than tree cutting since the tree farm helps supplement wood enough to not need to chop trees as often.

My Time At Portia Suggestions / Re: Sparring
« on: February 15, 2018, 03:58:58 AM »
At the least, as far as citizens are concerned, having the three "militia" people scale would be a good idea. If you want to get extra buddy points from them, (which I didn't notice as a reward for winning, hmm) it'd be a little harder, which isn't a huge deal, idk.

Yeah, I just spam Hazardous Ruins for small engines and tempering liquid (Helps with water engine missions and any mission with tempered glass or that blender dirt that requires the liquid). Would be cool to see other levels with different bosses that aren't so easy to beat once you get his pattern down.

My Time At Portia Suggestions / Sparring
« on: February 14, 2018, 03:29:02 AM »
It would be nice if the townsfolk scaled with you so sparring was actually worth it. It's a fun mechanic for social interactions but you don't only not get much from it but it is also stupid easy (thus no point) after level 20; even the best in town are boring.

Anyway, sorry if this was already discussed. Looked for a second.

My Time At Portia Suggestions / Higgins relationship
« on: February 12, 2018, 05:14:08 AM »
This relationship as "nemesis" needs to be fleshed out more, for sure. He needs to be harder to beat in the "pursuit of rank 1 workshop" and there should be more interaction with him as you pass him (mission/side quest, cutscene that fleshes out his past, increase in his productivity to make it harder to stay above him in the rankings, etc). Too easy to beat him and stay far ahead, especially when he doesn't take more of the main quest missions and seems to leave a lot of the bigger ones (like water engine missions, other 400+ ones, etc) for me to stack up. Managed to get 3000+ points more than him by the middle of the third month. Don't think he'll ever catch up and I don't even do a commission every day. Kinda sad that the other workshops are super bad and even Higgins, the best in Portia, is pretty bad once you get some materials built up.

Also, I feel like I haven't noticed any benefit to getting missions done ASAP. The most I see from doing a mission immediately is being able to start the next one immediately tomorrow. No real change in dialogue with commission requester or change in reputation points received. Would be cool to get small item benefits or extra relationship points based on tiers from 1 hour after taking, 2 hours, 5 hours, etc.
